The Nakhchivan Independent Republic is a landlocked enclave of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The area covers 5,502.75 km2 with a inhabitants of 459,600.
Armenia borders it to the east and north, Iran to the southwest, and Turkey to the west. Its personal elected legislature governs it, and it is the cause of a sour dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which was once resolved the day before today within the White Area through US President Trump.
